Makeover for 2023
My subpar website has gone neglected for a looong time. And, it has been driving me crazy this past year, but I was always too busy to do anything about it……I’m a master procrastinator when it comes to things I don’t enjoy doing. But, it needs to be done. So, I’m putting it out there for everyone to see to help motivate me in getting it done.
Originally, when I created the website, I was looking at websites of photographers that have years of photography under their belts, using these sites as a template for mine. In doing so, I was making my site bigger than I was and still am. Posting not so good photos, etc. So, one change you’ll see is fewer and updated photos in my gallery.
As for my photos, I’m picking out new photos, some will return and making them more visually appealing for a website. I’m currently ordering photos on a few different types of papers to see what looks best.
I’m also exploring a few more photography products I would like to offer with my photos. We’ll see what I can come up with.
I’m going to blog more regularly. While I’m not the best of writers, it’s something I enjoy doing. And, I hope that doing it more regularly will help me to improve… Some topics I plan to make regular are stories about my days out with my camera, “behind the photo”, tips & tricks, gear reviews, etc. I’m trying to come up with different topics that don’t get written about often, we’ll see what I can come up with. Comment below if there is something you would like me to cover.
And, I have been toying with starting a YouTube channel….does the world need another photography YouTube channel…. It’s a time commitment to edit the videos though and I’m a little short on that right now. So, we’ll see…. But, if it does happen, I would post these in my blog also. And, if it does happen, it will probably be later in 2023.
I have a few other ideas for the site, but these are my primary goals for 2023. Hopefully, posting this for all to see will help me get these accomplished! Bring on the new year…….
